It’s hard to say what the future of digital marketing will be 12 months from now, but experts appear to agree on a few trends. Here are the top three widely accepted digital and social media marketing trends we are most excited for in 2019!
Three 2019 Digital Marketing Trends We Love
Authenticity and Transparency
Thanks to fake news, election rigging, and a slew of other nefarious web practices, consumers are more cautious of connecting with brands online than ever before. And rightly so! This 2019 trend is especially appealing to us because it reinforces the digital best practices we’ve long-supported. Top Shelf has always been committed to helping brands tell their stories in a way that fosters meaningful connections with followers. From blogging to creating social media content, our team aims to establish an emotional tie with a target audience.
Stories
We could go on and on about how fun stories are. Two of our favorite things are that they offer cool features that aren’t possible in feed posts and they are a great way to post short-lived content that requires regular engagement. As more and more users are choosing to view stories over scrolling feeds, expect an uptick in brands using stories this year.
Video Content
Who doesn’t love a good video? Typically videos are more authentic and transparent than written content – see trend #1 we love – so it’s no surprise these are on the rise. Several of our Clients are planning to incorporate video in their digital marketing strategy from including behind the scenes clips to launching Vlogs. We can’t wait to see how pumping up the video content impacts the analytics!
In Conclusion
We’re jazzed for the three digital marketing trends above, and for the future of our industry in general! Here’s to raising the bar on content creation, getting back to authentic storytelling, and developing new strategies that connect brands and individuals.
